A week in review
First week of school completed. We are all happy and tired to be back at school. The kids all like their teachers – as do i. It's lovely to see them excited to race out the door each morning, off to see friends, try new things and laugh and learn.
I haven't been for a run in a week. My hip is really buggered up and i'm trying not to be discouraged or let it get me down. I'm going to the doctor for some x-rays to make sure what we think is wrong is actually wrong. I'm really noticing how running helps my mental health and how the lack of it coupled with the sudden onset of rain and fall is making me feel a little wobbly in my head and heart.
We went to see The National in vancouver on friday night and it was amazing. I have had three of their albums on shuffle for about 250 km's of running in the past couple of months and seeing it live and crazy in front of me was life changing. Definitely up there in the top three shows of all time.

My hips gave me fits for years when I would run until I just changed to Stability Plus running shoes. It’s made all the difference in the world. I still have some tightness in my hips after I run, but normally a little stretching will take care of it. These are the shoes I changed to: http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/NIK1295/
