all’s well that end’s well

January 11, 2007

in fucking depression 2007!

How do i love thee?
Let's count the ways….
It is delurking week.
I am feeling fragile. Much more so than in many months. The people i need to love me aren't loving me.
In fact, they are smacking me in the face and only apologizing under extreme warnings of "i'm going to count to three…."
Tell me what your favourite late night snack is.
Mine?
The forbidden peanut butter and jelly (my mom's homemade raspberry jam) sandwich.
Please show me some love.
Just a simple
xxoo
would do.
xxoo

I tried delurking here last night, but I think I got caught in the whole server crossfire thing. I’ve been reading your blog since, I’d guess, 2005, after I read about you on other blogs from BlogHer, or something. Anyway, I’ve enjoyed it. I’m still enjoying it, so… you know… xxoo
Favorite late night snack: chocolate pudding.

When I was pregnant, I was all about the PB&J (even though I guess I probably shouldn’t have been eating peanuts. oops.) Lately it’s been homemade waffles, but if I could eat chocolate without disrupting the baby’s sleep, it would be Hershey’s kisses.
I do try to comment every time I’m here unless there’s a baby attached to my boob and I can’t type, which is still pretty often. Only two more years till she weans, right!
XOXOXO

Like Irene said, I could eat an entire meal around ten pm every night. My favorite is saltine crackers spread with natural peanut butter and strawberry jam.
I’m sorry you’re not feeling the love. Does this help? XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Lately, I have to eat a snack before bed to keep the baby happy or I wake up starving in the middle of the night. Last night I had a peanut butter and honey sandwich, but I also love milk and crunchy granola bars. It’s almost like having cookies, but better for you.
Hope you’re having a good day Jess.

My late night favourite: Triscut crackers with cheddar and a banana pepper melted in the oven. Kind of like nachos but whole wheat. At least, that’s how I convince myself it’s a ‘healthy snack’.

A really good fried egg sandwich makes me happy in the late night hours. Make with good bread (sourdough is great!) and excellent cheese and fried in olive oil. Everyone catches me and then wants one. I gladly share.
Want one? I would, after squeezing the piss outta you, make you a nummy sandwich and never smack you. Only in the smooching sense. I still think back to July when you smooched Jenijen. ‘Member?
Good times. Love you to pieces.

white wine, gouda cheese and crackers on a salty evening and cookies on a sweet evening.
I read you when I can but sometimes my own sadness is too big to join with yours and I stay away or can’t find the words to speak to your truth.
Thanks for all you share, it always leaves me open and in awe of your brave vulnerability.

Favaorite snack anytime is potato chips.
They are best with a chocolate ice cream dip.
But I don’t eat chocolate at night anymore, because it keeps me awake.
So just plain potato chips, I guess.

Hello. My favorite late night snack is a bowl of sweetened cereal with cold milk. I don’t know why, but if I stay up too late, I almost always have to have a bowl before bed.
I know that unloved feeling, especially the counting to three, unloved feeling. The best I can do during those times is to eat some chocolate, read some blogs and say, over and over again, “This too, shall pass.”
