in blogher,music,the husband

I think i'm about done with the instant messaging blogher wrap, but i'm not done with my endless ruminations because that is what i do. Think and think till it kills me.
I'm still trying to decompress and deal with the assault of emotion i felt this past weekend. As a note to husbands coming home to a messy house and seven loads of laundry and grumpy kids is a little overwhelming.
Anyway, After a very bumpy start where i literally walked through the hotel crying, pulling my sunglasses over my eyes, to meeting several amazing women and all the others i've talked about already and the ones i haven't, it has left me bereft of tears.
Tomorrow, for some unknown reason, i am off to vancouver to see my family who wish that blogging didn't exist.
In the meantime please picture me crying in san jose listening to this song that shane left on my computer for me to listen to while on my trip (he wrote it.) Oh my god i love my husband.

I almost didn’t come back on Saturday night, but I’m so glad I did because I just loved out talk. Now I have at least TWO major reasons to visit Canada (you and JenB).

Jess!
It was awesome meeting you at Blogher06.
Do you think the greatest lesson we learned was this: “If you drink lemondrop martinis from a white wine glass you MUST check your nose frequently for sugar residue.”? :-)
I am glad you brought up the point of the messy house and dirty laundry. I blogged about my fear of that on my travel day. Guess what? I was right. This place was a pig sty. *sigh*
Oh, and my dear husband had made an appointment for my 15-year-old to go get her driving permit at 10:30 this morning. What did he NOT do? He did not gather all of the documents necessary to take care of that. I think I may go slowly insane. LOL.
On another note, YOUR hubby is wonderfully talented! The song he wrote for you is lovely, and it was just the sweetest gesture. Might even make up for those 7 loads of laundry?
Anyhoo, come see me sometime at http://leonagetsfit.blogspot.com. And hope to see you for real again at Blogher next year!
Take care,
Leona

It was lovely to meet you and to photograph you. All weekend I was confused by you and the other Jes, of Chirky – two women named Jes/Jess with short dark wavy hair…I also had Jen/Jenn and Christina/Christine issues. I am easily confused. At any rate, it was great. I can’t figure out why all the Canadian bloggers were so wonderful. Is it something in the water?

I didn’t take nearly enough pictures of you. One of them is really good and I think I’ll have it enlarged and framed and hang over the piano.
Now, me? I didn’t get you confused with ANYone else. I know you very well and loved you even more when we got to spend so much time together. I mean this – had I known you were trying to hide, I would have picked you up and carried you out there again.
It was a pleasure to get so much Jess-Time.
Kisses!

Yay! You’re home :)
Travelling exhausting, even when you’re not towing the children behind you.

Jess — it was great to meet you. Apparently, I am a mommyblogger — don’t laugh. I really don’t think of myself that way. Yes, I am a bit..dense. I have mixed emtions about the whole thing from this weekend. I didn’t even go to the last keynote. Too many people, voices, contentions. I hope my mania Thursday didn’t seem … manic.
Take care.. rock on,
Snead
